AT HOME SERVICE
Not everyone is able to physically attend church services. As of Autumn 2023 we try to live stream at least two services a month from the benefice - usually on the first and third Sundays, though this changes to fit in with major Festivals. The home page gives details of these live streams, includuing the necessary links..
There are a couple of alternative streams. Our Cathedral live streams a Communion Service every Sunday, starting at 10.15. the link for this ison the home page or here. Alternatively, each week the Church of England live-streams a Sunday service which can be found here
We have also produced an outline of a service which can be used at home. This can be found here. This can be used in conjunction with the weekly newsletter/pew sheet which contains the readings for the week with a reflection and some prayers of intercession. A link to this can be found on the homepage which you can go to by clicking here.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
The term ‘Spiritual Communion’ has been used historically to describe the means of grace by which a person, prevented for some serious reason from sharing in a celebration of the Eucharist, nonetheless shares in the communion of Jesus Christ. There is a simple form here, which can be used at any time.
